George E. Hecker

George E. Hecker is a nationally recognized expert in hydraulic engineering with 50 years of experience in optimizing the performance of hydraulic structures, flow systems, and machinery through application of hydraulic models, field measurements, and analytical techniques.

He is the past President of Alden Research Laboratory, Inc.As a senior consultant for Alden, Mr. Hecker now provides technical expertise for selected studies, particularly those related to fish protection, and assists with technical presentations and reports. Prior to joining Alden in 1971, he worked for the Tennessee Valley Authority conducting hydraulic research and for Stone & Webster Engineering Company in Boston developing one of the first thermal discharge diffusers for a nuclear power station.
