Am expanded small scale physical model was constructed for the Louisiana State University Center for River Studies. The Lower Mississippi River physical model helps to visualize the changing Mississippi Delta and is enabling researchers to study sediment diversion projects used to divert river water and sediment to replenish and help sustain the vanishing coastal wetlands in the region.
