Verdantas Experts to Address Challenges and Creativity in Brownfield Redevelopment as Part of Educational Programming

Three Verdantas experts are slated as presenters in the upcoming Brownfields 2022 Conference. This nationally focused conference is set to take place in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, August 16-19th.

Brownfields 2022 features over 120 panels, roundtables, and topic talks where attendees can learn directly from experts in the field and interact with federal, state, and local decision-makers. In these sessions, speakers will discuss new practices, share success stories, and stimulate new ideas.

Craig Kasper, Executive Vice President and Jennifer Carter-Cornell, Senior Consultant-Funding Specialist at Verdantas will be teaming up with William Robertson, Mayor of Rittman, Ohio in a panel session on State and Local Government Programs and Partnerships as they tell of the Creative Reuse of a Closed Paperboard Facility to Optimize a Small Community’s Job Creation & Passive Recreation Needs. This success story involves the City of Rittman's creation of new industrial property and a nature preserve on the 300-acre former Caraustar-Rittman Paperboard facility that closed in 2006. Join them to hear how a small town is honoring its industrial past while creating new places to work and enjoy nature. Get session detail here.
