Verdantas Acquires GRP Engineering, Strengthening Utility Scale Engineering Services to Support the Power Industry and Sustainable Energy Transition
DUBLIN, Ohio—Verdantas, a private-equity-backed firm specializing in environmental consulting, sustainable engineering, modeling and digital technology, announced today it has acquired GRP Engineering, Inc. (GRP).
Based in Petoskey, Michigan, GRP is an independent power utility consulting and electrical engineering firm delivering electrical design and construction administration services to a diverse array of clients within the power market, including electric cooperatives, municipalities, investor-owned utilities, plus industrial and commercial entities.

GRP brings a wealth of expertise that are complimentary to Verdantas’ existing capabilities including: Overhead and Underground Power Line Engineering, Planning and Route Selection, System Modeling and Planning, Load Flow Analysis, Right-of-Way Procurement, Maintenance, and Reliability System Upgrade Design. Additionally, GRP’s services extend to Fiber System Design, Industrial Power System Design, T&D Substation and Switching Station Engineering, Protective Relay Modeling and Design upgrades, Substation Controls, SCADA & RTU systems, Collector System Design, Interconnect Substation Design, and Utility Coordination.
