We are proud to be working on behalf of one of our newest clients – Lydall, Inc. in Rochester, New Hampshire. Lydall was awarded a contract with the United States Department of Defense (DOD) funded through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act.

The funding will allow for an expansion of the manufacturing facility that will help Lydall increase US production of the filtration media needed to make N95 masks. Lydall’s specialty meltblown media is also a key component for MERV-, HEPA- and ULPA-grade filters used to improve air quality in hospitals, airplanes, restaurants, office buildings and other public spaces. Once Lydall’s expansion is complete, this NH facility will be the largest site for manufacturing of this filtration material in the US.

Verdantas was fortunate to have been invited to the groundbreaking ceremony on July 31, 2020. We will be providing soil excavation observation services during the construction of the expansion. Our role has included a review of the project Health & Safety Plan provided by the general contractor, leading regulatory interaction with the project management and leadership at NHDES, and coordination with Lydall and the remedial and on-site general contractors.

This project is a great example of why we love what we do at Verdantas! We are fortunate to have excellent clients like Lydall, Inc. to work with on creative projects that pull multiple services lines together.
