Amie Humphrey Facendola, P.E. is the Alden Area Leader and Associate Vice President at Verdantas with over 15 years of technical and leadership experience. Amie’s technical expertise includes stormwater treatment device testing, vortex and air entrainment modeling, hydroponic irrigation system design and optimization, as well as other hydraulic modeling and component testing. In addition, Amie is well versed in quality assurance. She wrote and managed the safety-related nuclear quality assurance program at Alden (10 CFR 50 Appendix B / NQA-1 / 10 CFR Part 21) and managed the separate calibration and testing QA program at Alden (ISO17025). She is also a certified lead auditor. She previously served as the director of the fluid system performance group and the area project delivery lead before assuming her current position. Amie has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University and is a registered Massachusetts professional engineer.
Amie serves as an advisory member of the Massachusetts Envirothon Steering Committee, an environmental competition for high school students. She lives in central Massachusetts with her husband and two sons.
