Chief Corporate Development Officer

Matt Henley is the Chief Corporate Development Officer at Verdantas, bringing ~20 years of experience in corporate strategy, finance, and operations. He has held executive roles in the engineering and construction industry for nearly a decade, primarily in the transportation and telecom markets.  

At Verdantas, Matt is responsible for all corporate development functions, from mergers and acquisitions through integration. This includes pre-close activities, such as sourcing, pipeline development, due diligence and deal negotiation as well as post-close integration to ensure seamless alignment and long-term success for acquired entities. Matt collaborates closely with acquired company’s executive leadership team to ensure they unlock the scale of Verdantas’ platform to create growth opportunities for their business and staff. His diverse experience is instrumental to Verdantas’ continued strategic growth. 

Matt holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Arts from Washington University in St. Louis. Matt is an avid skier and golfer and hopes to visit every national park in the US (he is about halfway there). He lives in Providence, RI with his wife, two children and dog Clemson.
