Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know (EPCRA)
Tier II (hazardous chemical inventory) and TRI (toxic release inventory) are the primary reporting programs that impact our clients, with annual March 1 and July 1 submission deadlines, respectively.
Verdantas’ staff have completed thousands of Tier II reports and TRI reports in at least 30 states for nearly every type of facility, including petroleum, institutional, industrial, manufacturing, health care, biotechnology, real estate, and technology. Verdantas staff are prepared to conduct site walkthroughs to gather the data needed to prepare the reports or can rely on client-provided inventory and chemical usage data. The key to our providing accurate Tier II reporting includes using current safety data sheets (SDSs), correctly reporting mixtures, correctly reporting hazards, and including all chemicals that should reported. For our TRI reporting, we file complete reports where releases are correctly estimated and the appropriate reporting thresholds are applied. Our clients return to us year after year for EPCRA filing support because our team is highly responsive and will provide the technical support necessary to meet the reporting obligations.
