As utilities modernize and expand critical infrastructure, access to accurate, high-quality digital models is essential for planning, design, construction, and asset management. An electric utility company partnered with Verdantas to support a multi-year digitization program aimed at developing a comprehensive portfolio of digital substation models to support ongoing operational and capital improvement initiatives. 

Verdantas provided more than 100 detailed substation models by integrating reality capture data with structural and electrical modeling workflows. The program combined multiple technical disciplines and digital technologies to create reliable, information-rich models that delivered a consistent digital representation of critical infrastructure assets. 

Verdantas implemented a Digital Build strategy that connected data, workflows, and project teams through a unified modeling framework. Using tools including ReCap, TruView, Revit, Civil 3D, and Inventor, the team transformed large volumes of field data into coordinated digital assets that could be efficiently developed, reviewed, and maintained across the program lifecycle. 

These models improved consistency and reduced rework while providing valuable digital resources to support future design, maintenance, and operational decision-making. The program delivered a scalable approach that maximized the value of infrastructure data and established a strong foundation for future digital delivery initiatives.
