Verdantas supported recent infrastructure and operational upgrades at Waterville Valley Ski Resort, contributing engineering expertise across multiple improvement projects designed to expand terrain, modernize lift systems, and enhance visitor experience. Work included the Green Peak alpine trail expansion with installation of a new lift to increase skier capacity and terrain diversity, as well as the addition of a new Magic Carpet lift in the learning area to improve beginner access and safety.
Verdantas also provided engineering support for a base lodge building addition, offering increased guest amenities and operational space, along with the development of a multi‑story chairlift storage barn to streamline equipment maintenance and protect lift components. Additional upgrades included installation of the new High Country lift, trail realignments, and associated grading to improve snowmaking efficiency, slope conditions, and mountain circulation.
Further work involved analysis and improvements to parking lot drainage systems to reduce runoff, mitigate erosion, and protect nearby natural resources. Verdantas guided the project through the full range of required local, state, and federal permitting, ensuring regulatory compliance and protection of sensitive mountain environments.
These improvements reflect Waterville Valley’s ongoing commitment to expanding its skiable terrain, modernizing infrastructure, and creating a safer, more efficient, and environmentally responsible mountain experience—with Verdantas providing the engineering support to help make it possible.
