Verdantas collects aerial data using the full spectrum of platforms—from crewed fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters to fixed-wing and multirotor drones. Our FAA-certified (Part 107) pilots and professional aircrews select the right platform for each project’s scale, accuracy, and site-access requirements. 

Traditional aerial photogrammetry remains a proven solution for large-area and corridor mapping. Using calibrated metric cameras, surveyed ground control, and rigorous aerial triangulation, we produce high-resolution orthophotography, planimetric mapping, contours, and digital terrain models. Helicopters provide additional flexibility for narrow corridors, steep terrain, and dense urban environments where precise, low-altitude collection is critical. 

For smaller or hard-to-reach sites, drones provide rapid deployment and exceptional maneuverability. Equipped with high-resolution imaging sensors and aerial LiDAR systems—including our UAV-based YellowScan platform—they capture detailed data in locations where traditional approaches may be impractical or less efficient. Regardless of the collection method, deliverables are processed to ASPRS standards and delivered in GIS-ready formats that integrate seamlessly into design, GIS, and asset management systems.
